Eschatology : An Introduction about things soon Coming on the Earth.

We are living in the LAST DAYS.  “The End of the Ages”; The End time of the Gospel Age.
Wikipedia defines Eschatology as : a part of theology, physics, and futurology concerned with what are believed to be the final events of history, the ultimate destiny of humanity — commonly referred to as the "end of the world" or "end time". ....
Eschatology is the branch of Christian theology that deals with the biblical study of end times prophecies and the events of the last days. Some of these events include the Rapture, the Second Coming of Christ, the Tribulation, the Millennial Kingdom and the Future Judgments. The primary books of the Bible pertaining to end times prophecy are the book of Daniel, the book of Ezekiel and the book of Revelation. <Christianity.about.com>

1. The Last Days
2Ti 3:1  But of this be assured: in the last days grievous times will set in. 2Ti 3:2  For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, profane. They will be disobedient to parents, thankless, irreligious,
2Ti 3:3  destitute of natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers. They will have no self-control, but will be brutal, opposed to goodness,
2Ti 3:4  treacherous, headstrong, self-important. They will love pleasure instead of loving God,
2Ti 3:5  and will keep up a make-believe of piety and yet live in defiance of its power. Turn away from people of this sort. WNT
JFB Commentary:

2Ti 3:1  You must understand this: In the last days there will be violent periods of time. GW

2Ti_3:1 Coming evil days: Signs of evil already: Contrast in the doctrine and life of Paul, which Timothy should follow in accordance with his early training in Scripture.

last days — preceding Christ’s second coming (2Pe_3:3; Jud_1:18). “The latter times,” 1Ti_4:1, refer to a period not so remote as “the last days,” namely, the long days of papal and Greek anti-Christianity.
perilous — literally, “difficult times, in which it is difficult to know what is to be done: “grievous times.”

2Pe 3:3  First,: In the last days people who follow their own desires will appear. These disrespectful people will ridicule God's promise
2Pe 3:4  by saying, "What's happened to his promise to return? Ever since our ancestors died, everything continues as it did from the beginning of the world."
2Pe 3:5  They are deliberately ignoring one fact: Because of God's word, heaven and earth existed a long time ago. The earth appeared out of water and was kept alive by water.
2Pe 3:6  Water also flooded and destroyed that world.
2Pe 3:7  By God's word, the present heaven and earth are designated to be burned. They are being kept until the day ungodly people will be judged and destroyed.

shall come — Their very scoffing shall confirm the truth of the prediction.
scoffers — The oldest manuscripts and Vulgate add, “(scoffers) in (that is, ‘with’) scoffing.” As Rev_14:2, “harping with harps.”
walking after their own lusts — (2Pe_2:10; Jud_1:16, Jud_1:18). Their own pleasure is their sole law, unrestrained by reverence for God.

  1. The Prophetic Accuracy of the Scriptures

A Supernatural Evidence that the Word of God is what it says it is, and that what will come has been prophesied accurately.
One of the Proofs of any religion is its ability to accurately predict the future. The prophet Isaiah said, Isa 41:22  Let them bring them out, and tell us what shall happen; let them reveal the former things, what they are, that we may look on them and know the final end of them; or declare to us things to come.
Isa 41:23  Reveal the near things after this, so that we may know that you are gods. Yes, do good, or do evil, so that we may be amazed and see together.
We will now consider the amazing accuracy of the Prophecies of Scripture.
  1. Prophecies dealing with the Nation of Israel.

  1. Israel would become a great nation.

The God of creation has called us to cooperate with Him in re-establishing His people in His Land. We have seen the prophecies confirmed vine after vine in the Mountains of Samaria.

Gen 12:1  And Jehovah said to Abram, Go out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house into a land that I will show you.
Gen 12:2  And I will make you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great. And you shall be a blessing.
Gen 12:3  And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.

  1. Her Kings would come out of the tribe of Judah.

Gen 49:10  A scepter will never depart from Judah nor a ruler's staff from between his feet until Shiloh comes and the people obey him.
[ King David came from Judah and so did His Great Descendant - the King of Kings, Our Lord Jesus Christ]

  1. She would spend 400 years in Egypt.

Gen 15:13  God said to Abram, "You can know for sure that your descendants will live in a land that is not their own, where they will be slaves, and they will be oppressed for 400 years.
Exo 12:41  And it came to pass at the end of four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.

  1. The Nation would suffer civil war.

1Ki 11:29  And it came to pass at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; now Ahijah had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field.
1Ki 11:30  And Ahijah laid hold of the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces.
1Ki 11:31  And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
1Ki 11:32  (but he shall have one tribe, for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)
  1. The Nation would spend 70 years in Babylon.

Jer 25:11  And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
Jer 25:12  And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate for ever.
Jer 29:10  For thus saith the LORD, After seventy years be accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
